Sometimes called the :California” holster, this is an early development from the military style flap holster. Adapted for civilian use where protection from the elements was not a requirement, the Slim Jim gave instant access to the revolver and was probably the first “fast draw” holster. Made from black or russet leather, machine stitched, authentically styled holster has sewn in plug and wide belt loop. Perfect for Civil War Era civilian and Early West reenactor.
